SASPEN, in collaboration with the Platform for Social Protection (PSP) Zambia and the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES), held the 2017 2nd Quarter Lusaka Social Protection Colloquium(LSPC) on Thursday 1st June, 2017. The LSPC is a quarterly event organized jointly by the Platform for Social Protection Zambia and the Southern African Social Protection Experts Network (SASPEN). The Minister of Labour and Social Security in Zambia, Honorable Joyce Nonde-Simukoko, was the guest of honour at the event. The Keynote address was delivered by Professor Jeremy Seekings – Director of the Centre for Social Research, University of Cape Town.
